本院透過在兒童精神科日間醫院設立由護
士主導運作的培訓小組，致力縮短專注力
不足及過度活躍症（
ADHD
）門診病人的輪
候時間。培訓內容分為兩個單元，提供共
12
節的基礎和進階課程。自二零一四年九
月開辦以來，已有
15
個小組完成培訓課
程；截至二零一五年三月已錄得
1,028
參與
人次。上述措施不但讓本院更有效管理與
日俱增的服務需求，亦有助我們為區內兒
童和青少年提供更完備和高質素的精神科
服務。
在過往一年，我們積極實踐服務承諾，在
多個領域上取得新發展。鑑於結腸鏡檢查
的需求日漸增加，本院每週加設了五節內
窺鏡檢查，每年提供額外
850
個結腸鏡檢查
程序配額。這項優化服務成功將結腸鏡檢
查輪候時間由過往的
55
個星期大幅縮減至
20
個星期。此外，由二零一四年十月起，
本院亦將更多局部麻醉節數分配予腎科手
術，藉以加強手術服務。隨着日間手術中
心安裝了自動化內窺鏡清洗機，員工接觸
危險化學物品的機會亦大幅降低。我們亦
改善了消毒程序，確保出現血尿症徵狀病
人進行早期膀胱癌檢測時更加安全。
為逐步提升本院服務能力及職能，我們着
力增強不同部門的文書支援工作，包括
耳鼻喉科、物理治療、聽力學、中央護理
部、營養治療部、足病診療部及無菌物品
供應部等。
面對冬季流感高峰期對服務構成的壓力，
本院亦重點推行應變措施。為加強及提升
服務的能力，我們的準備工作包括於二零
一五年一月至三月期間在大埔醫院的支援
下，於內科病房、急症科病房和兒科病房
加開

張病床。
The Hospital stepped up its effort to shorten the waiting
time of Attention Deficit and Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)
outpatients with the establishment of Nurse-run training group in
Child Psychiatric Day Hospital. The training content, divided into
two modules, offered elementary and advanced levels with a total
of 12 sessions. Since the commencement of training in September
2014, 15 groups were completed registering a total of 1,028 patient
attendanceasatMarch2015.Theseall contributedtobettermanaging
the mounting service demand and providing comprehensive and
high quality psychiatric services for the child and adolescent patients
in the district.
Our commitment in the service enhancement has also taken us
in a number of new directions during the year. In anticipation
of the progressive rise in demand for colonoscopy, AHNH has
added five endoscopy sessions per week to provide additional
850 colonoscopy procedures per year. As a result of this service
enhancement, we have shortened our colonoscopy waiting time
from 55 weeks to 20 weeks. Besides, surgical services for renal
dialysis patients were enhanced with additional local anaesthetic
sessions since October 2014. During the year, Day Surgery Unit
installed automated endoscope reprocessor, which has improved
occupational safety by greatly reducing staff exposure to potentially
hazardous chemicals. Furthermore, improvement in sterilization
practice also enhanced the safety of bladder cancer screening for
early detection on patient with symptom of haematuria.
To reinforce our capacity and capabilities through steps, we put
particular focus on strengthening the clerical support for various
departments including Ear, Nose and Throat, Physiotherapy,
Audiology, Central Nursing Division (CND), Dietetics, Podiatry as well
as the Central Sterile Supply Department.
The Hospital also placed emphasis on addressing the challenges
we face in delivering quality healthcare during winter surge.
Preparedness measures were taken to optimize and augment
the buffer capacity, including the opening of additional 64 beds
in the medical ward, emergency ward and paediatric ward with
the support of Tai Po Hospital (TPH) during the past winter from
January to March 2015.
