健康講座、工作坊及家訪，並有不同人士
登記成為義工。我們又印製及派發了提供
多種語言的季度通訊。此外，由衞生署控
煙辦公室資助的「少數族裔及新移民戒煙
計劃」為本地少數族裔及新移民提供戒煙
服務，以多種語言提供健康教育資訊，期
間舉行多項健康講座及大型活動，並有
3,176
人接受戒煙輔導及

人受訓為「無煙
大使」。二零一三年群組的最終評估顯示有
29.8%
人士於

。二零一四年群
組資料評估將於二零一五年底完成。本計
劃現已獲控煙辦公室批核繼續推行兩年，
並將惠及更多少數族裔人士及新移民。
Ethnic Minority Health Service
The Community Chest of Hong Kong funded “South Asian Health
Support Programme” collaborated with 40 partners, including 15
organizations, 21 schools and four religious organizations, and
provided 10,253 health screening sessions. In addition, heath talks,
workshops, home visits were also conducted. Furthermore, quarterly
multilingual health newsletters were produced and disseminated
in the community level. The project was well supported by health
advocate volunteers. Our another initiative was the “Smoking
Cessation Project for Ethnic Minorities and New Immigrants”, funded
by the Tobacco Control Office, the Department of Health. The project
provided smoking cessation services including treatment mainly
to ethnic minorities and new immigrants, embedded with health
education events and campaigns in multilingual mode. Throughout
the project span, 3,176 received smoking cessation counselling and
45 received Quit Ambassador training. Final evaluation of the 2013
cohort revealed that the quit rate at 52 weeks was 29.8%, while
tobacco reduction rate at 52 weeks was 43.75%. The 2014 cohort
can be evaluated only by the end of 2015. The project has recently
been approved for another two years by the Tobacco Control Office
to benefit more ethnic minority members and new immigrants.
